Here are five castles in the Langhe that are definitely worth a visit.
- Grinzane Cavour Castle (Grinzane Cavour): a UNESCO World Heritage Baroque masterpiece, linked to the figure of Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, “the architect of the Unification of Italy”. The castle is home to an Ethnographic Wine Museum and a rich Regional Wine Store, where you can taste famous Barolo and Barbaresco wines.

- Serralunga d’Alba Castle (Serralunga d’Alba): a perfectly preserved medieval manor, surrounded by vineyards and woods. The castle offers guided tours, wine tastings and an evocative atmosphere that will take you on a journey back in time.
- Magliano Alfieri Castle (Magliano Alfieri): historical residence of the Alfieri family, a famous dynasty of men of letters and military leaders. The castle is home to a Civic Museum and Library, where you can discover the history of the area and admire works of art.
- Govone Castle (Govone): An impressive 18th century Savoy residence, famous for its beautiful Italian-style gardens and innovative farming techniques. The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers guided tours, exhibitions and events throughout the year.
